Last night was B*U*S*Y! We washed and dried 1️⃣6️⃣2️⃣0️⃣ pounds of laundry and provided personal care resources, snacks and hot chocolate to 2️⃣9️⃣ families. 😅
Neighbors were greeted at the check in table by Marissa and Collette, where they received socks and hand warmers. Tom and Atom directed laundry while Brandi and Emily managed the resource tables. Amazingly, we had enough supplies for everyone! 🙌🏻
We saw so much caring last night - afterward, one of our volunteers mentioned that he had never witnessed so many unrelated people saying “I love you” to one another. ❤️
One of our neighbors has been teaching himself how to make balloon art, and he is amazing! Thanks, Dale, for brightening everyone’s night! C3 Car Club Portland brought donations and helped keep laundry moving. Neighbors pitched in and unloaded our vehicles, helped set up tables and sort supplies, and at the end of the night they folded up the pop-up changing tent (no small feat!) and even swept the floors and emptied the trash. Our Molalla Coordinator Sarah came by to visit with neighbors and help out. Another neighbor brought in a bag of Taco Bell to share with those who were hungry. We even celebrated a neighbor’s birthday! And last but not least, we found out that one of our neighbors has just been voted onto the Clackamas County Continuum of Care Steering Committee - congratulations to Laurie! ⭐️
