Yesterday (11/3) we held a LoveOne + Solve Trash Extravaganza on the Springwater Trail near Bell Station. We had the largest turnout of volunteers we’ve ever had at an event and as the saying goes, many hands make light work. It was still a lot of work but we accomplished a lot in a short amount of time and we had a lot of fun doing it!
Special thanks to Bell Station Market for graciously allowing us to stage our cleanup in their parking lot! This was a tricky location and we couldn’t have pulled it off without their help. And thank you to Metro for sending out a team to support the event as well! Also the crew from 4D Recovery joined us and brought the fun (as well as recovery services) and pitched in and helped us clean. #teamwork
We also want to send a shout out of thanks to Milwaukie Police Department for responding to our urgent request for assistance. They arrived quickly and addressed the situation with kindness and compassion.
While they were in the area they also dropped off several bags of cans at Bottle Drop into our LoveOne Bottle Drop account. Thank you, Captain Cereghino, for heading that up!
We are so fortunate to work with so many amazing humans and organizations as we do this work in Clackamas County, Oregon.
